It may be that one or more of your third party plugins has similar issues if you are getting a lot of crashes,ĭitto. Workaround is to use Blue Cat's MB-7 Mixer to host McDSP plugins AU version inside Wavelab. This is now confirmed and acknowledged by McDSP. The problem is that McDSP plugins VST versions simply do not support rendering. The biggest crash fest for me in recent times has been using McDSP plugins and trying to render new files with my chosen plugin chain. Everything seems to be just where I want it now. I have everything except plugins and metering in one window maximised on one screen, and have a second window with all my metering views, plus seperate plugin windows. It now seems a bit more logically laid out. I have to say that the layout of Wavelab 9 is a big improvement for me. So by the next time I come to use it I'm forgeting what I previousky knew, as opposed to Pro Tools, Logic and Cubase, which each get at least a full day's workout once per week, if not more. I guess its German logic at work, but a lot of the problem for me is that I spend a disproportionally small amount of time using it, just at the end of an album recording plus mixing project. I have always found its menu structure a little unintuitive, you have to go hunting for basic things that should be more obvious. I'm using Wavelab and am happy wih it, no loss of audio quality perceived by me as compared to say mastering a single track inside Pro Tools. Anybody with knowledge and a big heart that can brighten my day? your fransmo:confused: Anyway I also use ProTools in my studio and wonder what does people do, do they master INSIDE protools or what? How would you do that if you want your tracks exported like separate tracks for a CD. I still have a weak spot for them since the Atari days. Many people in the business shun Steinberg like the plague, and they might be right to do so. I need a software to assemble, balance and eq an album, but find amazingly no such thing on the market apart from Wavelab? Am I blind or have I missed something important? So I am looking for solutions, I have tried Soundforge, but there again it is no longer being updated since 2014 obviously. On top of this I find that the material looses quality being run through Wavelab. I´ve found Wavelab enomously frustrating, chrashing all the time and an user combating design that just makes life very very hard. I am on MAC and have tried to use Steinbergs Wavelab for some years, after using Apples Waveburner that was OK but has been phased out by apple and is no longer available if you don´t have an old copy on your machine. a CD and master my music, I run into problems. When a want to make a conventional album of songs, i.e. I´ve had this problem for eternities and would really like to get some wise advise.
